It's never too soon to start preparing when you need a loan. We're here to make applying for, and getting that loan simple and straightforward. These three steps will take you smoothly to this destination. Here, you'll also find the forms you'll need, rate information and more!

Calculate the Cost

You know the value of what you need to buy. Our calculator helps you figure out the financing*. Test out the available options to find the best payment plan for you.

For loans longer than 15 years, use the "Advanced" tab of the Loan Calculator. After Step 2 in the Loan Calculator Directions select a year number from the "Amortized Over" menu to determine an amortization schedule.

Terms

  • All rates are fixed
  • We offer terms up to 15 years with payments amortized up to 30 years
  • Payment options include monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual

Gather Required Documents

You've got a general idea of what your payment will be. Now it's time to gather some other necessary information. Please have the following items available to complete your application:
  • Two years of financial statements
  • Copy of bylaws and articles of incorporation
  • Proof of insurance
  • Copy of a contract (purchase, real estate, construction)
  • Copy of a funding agreement with town or county, if applicable
You'll also need Board meeting minutes or a resolution authorizing the:
  • Loan amount
  • Loan purpose
  • Loan rate and terms
  • Authorized signees
  • LGFCU Commercial Lending* as the lender

You can use our quick and easy Board Authorization Form or submit a copy of notes you already have. Now you're ready to apply. Here's one last thing to do.

If your organization isn't already a member, you'll need to join Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU). It's as easy as opening an LGFCU Share Account under an organization membership for $25. Give us a call at 800.344.4846. Or, if you prefer, visit your nearest branch location.
